Krin Maren Haglund works with many of today's most exciting circus and cabaret troupes. Currently, you can see Krin on the trapeze and singing with the 7 Fingers show “La Vie” as the comically frustrated flight attendant. She is an original cast member of Cirque Eloize's "Rain," which performed to sold-out crowds around the world, including New York, Paris, Moscow, and Seoul. At Eloize, Krin became the first woman to perform on the Cyr wheel and won acclaim as "Rain's deft comedienne." At Spain’s Expo Zaragoza, Krin performed solo single Cyr wheel and aerial silks with the Cirque du Soleil show "Le Réveil du Serpent.” Krin is available to perform in cabarets, corporate events and theatrical shows.
While performing with the hot Aussie-based cabaret, "La Clique," her silks routine was praised as "dynamic, expressive and original." She was recognized for lampooning the "ridiculous stereotypes that define femininity." While performing in the 60th Anniversary show of the Norwegian National Touring Theater, Riksteatret, one reviewer asked of Krin’s comic wine glass routine… “Are we allowed to do that?” Krin also often performs with the rock band The Dresden Dolls, sometimes as the Mistress of Ceremonies. Look for her on their DVD "Live at the Roundhouse." Krin has also been featured at events and galas for corporations including Microsoft, Kia, & Eli Lilly.
Krin also directs performance projects that combine her love of character with the joy of the circus. Past projects ranged from fashion shows to a clown show with 15 preteens. Krin’s three-woman clown show “Primoridial Vaudeville” debuted at Montreal’s Edgy Women festival in 2010. After graduating from Smith College, Krin attended the Clown Conservatory in San Francisco, trained aerial and classical circus arts at the Circus Center, and performed with the New Pickle Circus for two seasons.
